Alaska Permanent Capital Management (APCM) is pleased to support growing other green things in addition to money. APCM is the exclusive sponsor for the Alaska Botanical Garden’s 25th Anniversary Solstice Celebration. On Thursday, June 21, 2018, the Alaska Botanical Garden will celebrate 25 years with an evening of live jazz, catered food, fine art, and of course, beautiful gardens.
APCM supports many organizations and events in our community, both in Anchorage and around the State. The Alaska Botanical Garden (ABG) is a community gathering place, where people come together to enjoy the world class gardens. Adjacent to Far North Bicentennial Park, ABG’s beautifully cultivated gardens are woven through a 110-acre spruce and birch forest.
Garden visitation is one of the fastest growing activities in the US and Anchorage, attracting children and adults, both local and tourists. The garden showcases northern wildflowers, perennials, agricultural and riverine plants, native and non-native, through education, science and recreation. Over a thousand school children visit the garden each year for hands-on science education and active summer camps. ABG’s role in botanical science extends beyond Alaska with unique plant collections, such as northern orchids, that can be collected few other places in the world.
APCM celebrated 25 years in the community last year. From our humble beginnings in Mountain View, founded by Dave Rose, we share the same strong Alaska community spirit with ABG. After over 10 years of planning, ABG planted the first gardens in 1993, with the grand opening om July 25, 1993.
Headquartered in Alaska, APCM is proud of our work in helping non-profit organizations, Alaska Native Corporations, endowments and foundations, health care organizations, state and local governments, and individuals to grow their wealth. We are excited to help ABG celebrate their success, so please join us on June 21st. Reserve your tickets here: http://alaskabg.org/25th-anniversary-garden-party/
